Why donate? eBA-Stats.com® is one of the largest non-commercial basketball statistics analysis group websites in the world, and needs your help. All our sites, eBA-Stats.com ~ eBAforums.com ~ eBAwords.com ~ eBAclinics.com & eBAblogs.com, has been built as a Basketball in general and Statistics in particular labor of love, but the cost of providing a web server, keeping connected to the Internet, as well as the software costs and other expenses of keeping a large web site up and running, are more significant day to day. eBA-Stats.com® Group uses a secure payment system ? Many people are aware of PayPal from its popular use as a for eBay auctions. PayPal is a universally recognized Internet payment merchant with a solid reputation of being secure and easy to use. It is by far the largest of its kind, and is available in 103 countries/regions and used by more 100 million account holders worldwide. Through PayPal, we are able to accept contributions from many different countries (including the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Denmark, and others). PayPal will handle the currency conversion on your behalf. Additional information regarding currency conversion will be provided by PayPal after you have reached step 3 in the donation process. At the bottom of this page you are provided the opportunity to proceed in donating money to eBAStats Group. We accepts donations using PayPal. This process has the following steps: 1. At the bottom of this page, click on the button PayPal donate. You´ll reach the Donation Page, read the provided instructions. PayPal donation is provided for a common denomination of US$12 for a yearly donation ( $1 per month... ! ). For greater donations you can overwrite that amount. 2. Enter a comment so we'll know about your name, then click the PayPal Donate button. After clicking, you will be offered the opportunity to verify the desired denomination, and to enter a comment that will be attached to this donation. To proceed, click on the PayPal Donate button. 3. Enter your credit card information (or login to your PayPal account) on the PayPal page, then complete your donation. You will be redirected to PayPal where you may complete your donation either by following the provided instructions (you may either login to a PayPal account and make the donation, or enter your credit card information). 4. Free Registered Member is someone who has registered on the eBA portal, forums, clinics, blogs or wiki encyclopedia, sent the application and wait for approval: meanwhile he/she is a Guest (see below). A Editor or Publisher Full Member is someone which application was approved and received the passwords to enter the sites. Everyone else is a Guest, someone who can only read the public areas of the five sites of the eBA Stats.com Group. Where does your money come from ? We are adding this donation feature because eBA Stats.com is very expensive to operate and we want to add the features and functionality that we know you want and need as a Basketball Professional Coach. If you like what we are doing for your projects; if you like what we are doing at the eBA Clinics, at the eBA Forums, at the eBA Blogs and at the eBA WIKI Encyclopedia, now you can make a donation and help us out. Why are you asking for donations ? The web should be free ! This web sites group started 9 years ago as a one site-10 pages labor of love, but has grown beyond all expectations: today the eBA Stats Group is comprised by 5 sites and more than 10.000 (and counting...) pages ! It is still a labour of love, but its popularity due to YOUR SUPPORT means that each month approximately four million pages are viewed ! Therefore we needed to migrate to a new and exclusive server last month, including a dedicated IP, which assured us a 100% uptime for the last 2 months! Anyone in the eBA Stats Team receives a salary... but the server costs must be payed, a web site should be free but Internet is NOT ! What about adverts, affiliate schemes and Google adverts ? Everything together probably covered to just over the 50% of the maintenance costs over our 8 years life.... By the way, at our beginning we wanted to build clean sites without publicity...
