Bounce Pass

From the Global Basketball Directory:
"A pass thrown by a player to a teammate that bounces on the floor. A pass can be bounced to a receiver with one or two hands. The most effective is the one-hand bounce pass preceded by a pivot action to open up the defenders space."

This particular pass can result in lost balls and is not considered a basic pass - rather as an alternative in a range of options seeking space in the defense and good safe receipt by a team-mate.
