Union of European Leagues of Basketball. Was founded in 1991 with the aim to help the cooperation and development of European professional Basketball leagues. Nowadays the leagues of Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, England, France and Switzerland form the ULEB. The annual Euroleague is it major competition.

The second court official in most international and high school Basketball competition.

Unsportsmanlike Foul.

A personal foul on a player with or without the ball which, in the opinion of the Official, was deliberately committed by the player against an opposing player.

Up and Down.

A nonfoul violation that occurs when a player in possession of the ball jumps and then lands while still in possession of the ball. Technically, he has traveled. In moving both feet, he has lifted his pivot foot.
