Assist.

The last pass to a teammate that lead directly to a basket.
Any assist is credited to the player tossing the last pass leading directly to a field goal , if and only if the player scoring the goal responds by demonstrating immediate reaction toward the basket.
No more than one assist is to be credited for each field goal. An in bounds pass can be an assist, if it leads directly to a field goal.

Assisted Field Goal.

A field goal on which a player received an assist. This matters because credit must be split between the assisting player and the scoring player. Five minutes by separate analysis like that used by the eBA System can be used to find each player's exact percentage of assisted field goals, usually estimated only by the another systems.

Attitude.

The ability to except situations and make them work in their favor.
What makes a good player great? Sound basics? Size? Strength? Shooting ability? Speed?: its Attitude. Losers never seem to know why they lose. They blame the referees for bad calls, the gym conditions, the court surface, their teammates, etc. Winners on the other hand play above the problems.

Auerbach, Red & John Feinstein

Let Me Tell You a Story: A Lifetime in the Game Let Me Tell You a Story: A Lifetime in the Game
By: Red Auerbach & John Feinstein
America's favorite sportswriter teams up with Red Auerbach, the most successful and admired coach in Basketball history, to tell the best stories of a legendary life. Living legend Arnold "Red" Auerbach led the Boston Celtics to nine NBA championships--eight of them consecutive-- during his 17-year tenure in Boston from 1950 to 1966. The fiery coach is a unique personality--brash, opinionated, and unfailingly accurate. As a coach he never stood still along the sidelines, and in retirement he remains a lively part of the game, still consulted by coaches, players, and general managers at age 86.
