Offensive Foul.
A personal
foul committed by an offensive player. In the
NBA and international amateur play,
the ball is awarded to the opposing
team for a throw-in. In college
and high school play, an offensive foul is treated like a defensive foul, unless it's committed by
the player handling the ball.

Offensive Rebound.
A rebound of a
team's own missed shot. An offensive rebound is credited to a player each time he retrieves a live ball immediately following a field goal attempt or a free throw attempt that is missed
by himself or a teammate.
Offensive Team.
The team in possession
of the ball.
Officials.
The crew chief, referee
and umpire who control the game,
stop and start play, and impose penalties for violations and fouls.
