Diamond-and-One Defense.

A defense in which four players form into a diamond shape, one on each side of the line, one near the basket, and one near the free-throw, while the fifth defender covers an opponent one-on-one.

Dictate.

Defensive terminology: force dribbler in one direction.

Dig.

Defensive terminology: drop into to the post and discourage any post move.

Dish.

A pass. To pass the ball, as in 'dish it out'.

Dive.

Cut to the basket down the lane.
