For Scouters: Getting Player's Impression

Both for new and veteran coaches, one thing may be useful: extra scouting tools. These tools would not be intended to give away too much information and thus dumb down the game; rather they would be intended to make up for the fact that a real-team has a full-time staff of dozens while a DEL team has one person (sometimes two) putting in on average an hour a week.
So I'm wondering what sort of extra tools might be helpful, in terms of providing information that a staff full of scouts and assistant coaches would provide.

Players Recruiting and Selection

For Players: Getting Scouts Attention

Be honest
Try to base the recruiting process on honesty - both yours and the recruiters. Always be up front with recruiters. Let them know where they stand with you and what concerns you have regarding their schools / teams.
Likewise, you should expect honesty on the part of the recruiter, and, if you suspect something is not quite right, you should seriously reconsider your interest in that school / team.
